1971 State Champs Honored at Mass

Our Marian Catholic 1971 Basketball State Champs were honored at a school Mass on Wednesday, April 7! Members of the Colts’ cage team of 1970-71 that won the PCIAA State Championship were reunited for a special celebration. The 10 players (of 14) and two coaches attended Mass in the school’s newly-renovated chapel with the 2020-2021 Colt cage team and their coach John Patton. They heard messages from Fr. Allen Hoffa (left) Head of School and Head Coach Bob Fulton that followed with a social held in their honor. Pictured from left: Father Hoffa, Head of School, John Knox, Joe Prekopa, Bob Crampsie, Bob Schlosser, Terry McElmoyle, Frank Yusella, Thad Kosciolek, Mike Prekopa, Wally Yext, assistant coach Joe Arieta, Mike Makara, head coach Bob Fulton and Jack Malarkey, who was vice principal of the school at the time.
