Campus Ministry
THE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS
Mass will be celebrated by the school community every Wednesday morning. If school is in session on a Holy Day of Obligation, a major feast day, Mass will be celebrated on that day instead of Wednesday.
THE SACRAMENT OF PENANCE
Periodically there will be communal Penance Services scheduled for the entire student body. Visiting clergy will make themselves available for confessions either anonymously or face-to-face. Students are encouraged to approach the Chaplain for the Sacrament of Penance or spiritual counseling when he is available.
EXPOSITION OF THE BLESS SACRAMENT
First Fridays of each month have been set aside for Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the school chapel. All are encouraged to visit the Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament during the change of class or lunch periods. Reposition will be celebrated during the final period of the day. Teachers are invited to bring their classes to the chapel for Reposition. Theology class will meet in the chapel for reflection.
STUDENT RETREATS
Jesus Himself saw the need to get away from the crowds to commune with the Father. Marian Catholic recognizes the need to take extra time for God. In accordance with diocesan mandates, all students are required to attend and participate in the retreat days. Retreat days are therefore scheduled each year for the entire student body. All students are required to attend and participate in the retreat day unless the student has taken part in a retreat pre-approved by the Principal. Students who miss retreat must make arrangements with the Principal to make this up.
